Now prepare your self for the longest curse fest known to man….the dreaded Shepard Hook (crook) installation….well have no fear, there are three methods to installing the Shepard Hook. The first is the easiest of them all, go purchase a Shepard Hook Replacement plate from Red Star Arms, see my review of the replacement plate on the menu to the left. The second method is also easy, and it uses the Shepard Hook that came with your rifle, unfortunately there are a number of different Shepard Hooks out there, so this easy method only works if you have a Shepard Hook that looks like the one pictured. The third method however is really hard, and for some reason Century decided to use this method from the factory, only use this method if you have a Shepard's hook that does not look like the one pictured.

A: Shepard Hook Type Required for Method 2 Installation

B: Shepard Hook Replacement Plate Required for Method 1 Installation

All Other Types Should Work with Method 3 (NOTE: You may be able to modfy other Shepard Hooks to work with Method 2 by bending them into a shape similar to the Shepard Hook pictured)
